Our Faculty
All of our faculty are volunteers, which is the primary reason we are able to keep costs so low for the level of education that we provide.
Rev. Warren Lamb

Our Director/Lead Professor Warren Lamb, PhD, ThM, CABC
Pastor, Bible Teacher, Biblical Counselor, and Theology Professor
Pastor Lamb has been involved in pastoral ministry for over thirty-five years. He is a “recovered psychologist,” having been trained in clinical psychology at the University of Washington before coming to Christ at the age of thirty-one.
Since that time, he has gained extensive experience in Christian ministry, including teaching, conference speaking, Biblical counseling, and training Biblical counselors. Trauma and Abuse are significant areas of his counseling focus. His book, Behind the Veil: Exposing the Evil of Domestic Oppression and Providing Hope, provides help and guidance for the church in identifying and addressing this rising problem in the church.
He also developed the biblical counseling and discipleship curriculum Unbound: Growing Ever-freer in Christ. This material has helped thousands find a path to a fruitful and vibrant freedom in Christ that eluded them for many years.
Experienced in counseling a broad spectrum of troubles, he specializes with those who have suffered significant trauma from childhood abuse and neglect, domestic oppression and abuse, sex-trafficking, kidnapping, sole-survivors of catastrophes, traumatic loss survivors, first-responders, combat trauma survivors, and the like.
He also works extensively with the sexually broken, including those struggling with unwanted same-sex attraction. He provides specialized training for churches, including shepherding churches through the aftermath of a leader’s moral failure.
He has pastored and been part of the pastoral team for several churches and speaks at various conferences throughout the country on a variety of subjects. He also serves as a visiting professor and guest lecturer internationally with several institutions.
After completing the Nazarene Bible College Directed Ministries Study Program, he pursued post-graduate studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Westminster Theological Seminary, Dallas Theological Seminary, and Reformed Theology Seminary (Jacksonville), receiving a Master of Theology (Biblical Studies), Master of Theology (Hermeneutics), and a Master of Arts (Biblical Counseling).
His passion? "Discipleship: helping people understand the nature and character of God so that they can fully live as Christ intended for them to live."
A frequent keynote and workshop presenter at conferences, Warren serves as director of Truth in Love Biblical Counseling & Training Center (formerly Vancouver Bible Institute in Vancouver, WA). From August of 2019 to August of 2021, he served as the Vice President of IABC.
He and his wife Connie relocated to Orange County, CA, in 2017, so he now personally ministers in both Washington and in California. He brings with him many years of practical experience specific to the realm of Biblical counseling.
