Apologetics

There are several courses offered in our Apologetics section. Students can study
Defenders 1 - Basic Christian Apologetics
This 8-week course is designed to prepare everyday believers to defend their faith with grace and precision. Know what you believe and why; know how to answer the objections of detractors; understand the fallacies of the arguments against the Christian faith. Students learn to advance faith conversations deliberately, reasonably, and effectively by applying straightforward, cool-headed arguments (not arguing), and discover how being on guard with the truth can change lives forever. For more info see the Defenders 1 Page.
Defenders 2 - Intermediate Apologetics
This 8-week course picks up where Defenders 1 leaves off. Students engage in ever more challenging role plays as they learn to better advance faith conversations, apply reasoned arguments for the validity of the Christian faith and cause those they discuss these matters with to question and examine their own beliefs. Students will have opportunity to do "field work" at the end of the course. For more information see the Defenders 2 Page.
Basics of Logic
This 8-week course is designed to help the student examine their own approach to reasoning and then to examine the reasoning of others. Logic always seeks to answer the "Why" questions of life, and Christians face these questions on many fronts. This is more in-depth and advanced course work than the other Defenders Courses and is limited to 5 students per cycle, only being offered during the summer. If interested, please email the Director.
